How to Read This Chart
- Start with Type, Strategy, and Authority. That’s the navigation system. For a Projector with Emotional Authority, there is no truth in the now; recognition and invitation are essential; clarity emerges over time.
- Then look to Centers for consistent vs. flexible energy.
- Channels show her core gifts and how that energy moves.
- Profile reveals the role and life-learning style.
- The Incarnation Cross frames the life theme.
Type Mechanics: Projector
The Projector aura is focused and penetrating. It’s here to read others, to guide energy rather than provide it. Correct life for a Projector begins with recognition: being seen for what is unique and then invited into the big arenas—career direction, relationships, living arrangements, major commitments. Entering without correct recognition breeds bitterness; waiting for the right invitation opens the door to success.
- Strategy: Wait for the Invitation to the big things. Responding to recognition calibrates her guidance.
- Signature/Not-Self: Success when she’s invited and recognized; bitterness when she’s pushing or proving.
There are five Types in Human Design. Projectors are about 20% of the population and are the newest evolutionary Type—here to refine how the world uses energy.
Inner Authority: Emotional (Solar Plexus)
There is no truth in the now for the emotional being. Demi’s clarity comes in waves; decisions ripen. Sleeping on it, riding the wave, and letting time deliver emotional neutrality is the way.
- Emotional Wave Style: Tribal emphasis through Channels 37–40 and 19–49.
- 37–40 (Community) brings a “bargain/contract” emotional wave—clarity arises around trust, support, and fair exchange.
- 19–49 (Sensitivity/Synthesis) adds need-based waves—principles and thresholds around what’s acceptable in the tribe.
- Note: Gate 55 (Spirit) is also active, flavoring mood chemistry and the potential for spirit-based melancholy and passion.
There are three broad emotional wave patterns in Human Design; Demi’s definition carries a strong Tribal signature.
Profile: 1/3 (Investigator/Martyr)
The 1/3 is a research-and-experiment profile. Line 1 builds a solid foundation—investigating, studying, needing security through knowledge. Line 3 learns by trial-and-error—bumping into life, discovering what works because she has tested what doesn’t. This is the profile of resilient wisdom: sturdy footing plus experiential truth.
There are 12 Profiles in Human Design; 1/3s are the bedrock learners for the collective.
Definition: Split Definition
Her design forms two “islands” of definition that are not directly connected:
- Island A: Ajna–Throat–G (mind, voice, identity/direction)
- Island B: Root–Solar Plexus–Heart (pressure/motor, emotions, willpower)
The split creates a natural pull to “bridge”—either through transits or relationships—so the two islands can talk. Common bridging routes for this topology often involve Throat/Heart or Throat/Solar Plexus connections (for example, 45–21, 12–22, 35–36, 25–51). When temporarily bridged, she may experience a sense of internal completeness and ease in synthesis. Without bridges, patience and correct invitations help the two networks harmonize in their own timing.
Centers
Defined (consistent)
- Ajna: Consistent mental processing; a reliable way of forming concepts and making sense of patterns.
- Throat: A fixed way of expressing; voice is central to impact and manifestation.
- G (Identity): Stable sense of direction and love; a consistent core identity.
- Heart (Ego/Will): Intermittent but reliable willpower; bargaining capacity; themes of value and commitments.
- Solar Plexus: Emotional awareness and wave-based clarity; mood cycles are a given.
- Root: Consistent stress/pressure motor; rhythmic drive to initiate and complete.
Undefined (adaptive, open to conditioning)
- Head: Open inspiration; susceptible to mental pressure to answer everyone’s questions. Wisdom potential in discerning which questions are worth pursuing.
- Spleen: Inconsistent instinct and immune sensitivity; not-self can cling to what’s unhealthy out of fear. Wisdom in recognizing when something is no longer correct.
- Sacral: Non-Sacral Type. Not here for sustained workforce energy; the not-self can overwork to keep up. Correct use of energy comes through recognition and invitation, not constant doing.
Channels and Circuitry
- 23–43 Channel of Structuring (Individual Knowing, Ajna–Throat)
- The genius-to-freak frequency: mutative, individual insights that demand the right timing and the right audience. When invited, this voice explains what others can’t see yet. If forced, it can be dismissed as “too weird.”
- 7–31 Channel of the Alpha (Collective Logic, G–Throat)
- Democratic leadership—the voice of “I lead” for the group’s logical direction. Works best when recognized and elected, not self-appointed. It orients others toward patterns that improve outcomes.
- 37–40 Channel of Community (Tribal Ego, Solar Plexus–Heart)
- The bargain/contract of family and community: trust, support, and reciprocity. This is the circuitry of hearth, agreements, and the glue that holds a tribe together.
- 19–49 Channel of Sensitivity/Synthesis (Tribal, Root–Solar Plexus)
- Heightened attunement to needs, resources, and principles. This is the threshold-setter: what’s acceptable in the tribe and what violates the bargain, with the potential for emotional revolution when lines are crossed.
This blend—Individual (mutation), Collective Logic (patterning), and Tribal (bonds and bargains)—gives Demi range: the capacity to mutate the narrative (23–43), steer a group logically (7–31), and protect/renegotiate tribal needs (37–40, 19–49).
Incarnation Cross: Right Angle Cross of Explanation 4
A personal destiny cross in the Quarter of Mutation—purpose through transformation and individual evolution. Anchored by:
- Gate 43 (Breakthrough/Knowing) and Gate 23 (Assimilation/Explaining): the drive to bring inner knowing into form others can understand.
- Gate 4 (Formulization) and Gate 49 (Principles/Revolution): crafting logical answers and reorganizing tribal principles when the bargain no longer holds.
There are 192 Incarnation Crosses. “Explanation” is about turning mutation into language the world can receive—when invited.
Gate Highlights
- Gate 43 (Personality Sun): Insight that demands space and timing to crystallize; the inner breakthrough.
- Gate 23 (Personality Earth): The voice to simplify and translate mutation; the explanation.
- Gate 4 (Design Sun): Logical answers seeking proper questions.
- Gate 49 (Design Earth): Principles that define acceptance/rejection; readiness for emotional reorganization.

- Gate 44: Alertness to patterns from the past; recognition of what’s viable.
- Gate 59: Intimacy potential; aura that can bridge distance in the correct context.
- Gate 1: Creative self-expression; a fixed creative aura tone.
- Gate 64: Pressure of confusion before clarity; a mutative mental pressure.
- Gate 60: Limitation as the gateway to mutation; pressure that births innovation.
- Gate 33: Privacy and reflection; the storyteller who needs retreat.
- Gate 18: Correction; improving patterns with care.
- Gate 12: Caution in expression; eloquence in the right mood.
- Gate 41: The initiating pressure of fantasy; fuel for new cycles.
- Gate 2: The driver of direction; receptivity to the correct resources.
Practical Synthesis
- Projector with Emotional Authority: recognition first, clarity second, action third. No truth in the now.
- Split Definition: two strong networks—mental/identity/voice and will/emotion/pressure—seeking bridges. Relationships and transits can provide them; correct invitations prevent forcing the link.
- Leadership and Voice: when recognized, the alpha voice (7–31) and the explaining voice (23–43) can align the group to a better pattern.
- Tribal Stewardship: strong capacity to define and renegotiate the bargain of community (37–40) and to sense when needs are unmet (19–49).
- 1/3 Profile: study deeply, then learn through real-world trials. Resilience is part of the design.
This is the map of Demi Moore’s mechanics. The experiment is in living the Strategy and Authority and watching the correctness of life assemble around it.
